Six Sigma Green Belt Training, Certification and Coaching 

Challenge 

Do key employees in your organization have the necessary data collection and analysis skills to help solve tough business problems?  Do they use a common systematic approach to achieve breakthrough results? 

Most employees want to help their organization grow and exceed its business objectives.  Unfortunately, most do not have the improvement skills and competencies required to do this effectively, or think that gaining these skills is too hard and costly. 

Fortunately, dramatic improvement results can be realized with even basic process analysis and statistical tools – skills that can be taught to Green Belt candidates with minimum investment, typically as part of a more expansive Six Sigma deployment effort.  This is particularly true for service and transactional process areas where systematic improvement initiatives have not been widely seen. 

Solution 

Green Belt training is designed for anyone in your organization who will participate in Six Sigma deployment.  These participants will support Black Belts on improvement teams, help collect and analyze data, flow chart processes, conduct simple experimental designs, develop and implement solutions, and install process control systems. They will also lead projects that emphasize the use of process analysis tools rather than the use of more rigorous, advanced statistical methods.  

Approach 

The course provides students with a thorough understanding of Six Sigma philosophies, strategies and tactics used to produce dramatic, breakthrough improvements in manufacturing and service organizations.  More importantly, it teaches them how to apply Six Sigma methodologies in your organization.  

The curriculum is similar to our Black Belt course, but with less depth and breadth.  It includes process analysis tools, graphical and numerical statistical tools, experimental design, innovative ways to develop solutions, and process control methodologies.  Students learn how to blend and sequence these tools to effectively solve critical business problems. Equally important, the course teaches project and change management skills required by Green Belts to assure solutions will be accepted and resources made available for successful implementation.  

The course is delivered in two, one-week sessions, separated by 4-6 weeks of real world project application.  Our consultants work with Green Belts between sessions to help them successfully apply what they learned to their projects.  Through our effective “learning-by-doing” approach, students will present their work and receive feedback from the instructor and classmates.
