Six Sigma Black Belt

Challenge

Do your employees use a common, systematic approach to improve organizational performance? Are some of these folks skilled in the use of advanced statistical tools to analyze, diagnosis and solve even the toughest business problems?

Most organizations lack the statistical and process analysis capabilities to solve those nagging problems that never seem to get resolved.  Often this is not due to lack of effort, but rather, lack of a systematic improvement methodology and skill based training in advanced statistical tools and applications. Even when data exists (which often is lacking or insufficient), real information is not extracted in an efficient and effective manner.

With the introduction of Six Sigma, these advanced tools and techniques (that have been successfully used in Japan since 1950) have been reintroduced to American organizations with phenomenal results.  Black Belt candidates can be trained to use the new generations of software and a powerful deployment model to achieve breakthrough results.

Solution

Our Six Sigma Black Belt training is designed for experts or change agents who will be assigned to lead strategic, high impact process improvement projects.  These technically oriented, highly respected individuals will master basic and advanced statistical and process analysis tools, and be able to lead and coach team members to produce the desired improvements.

Approach

We provide Black Belts with a thorough understanding of Six Sigma philosophies, strategies and tactics used to produce dramatic, breakthrough improvements in manufacturing and service organizations.  More importantly, participants learn how to apply Six Sigma methodologies in your organization.

The course covers process analysis tools, graphical and numerical statistical tools, experimental design, innovative ways to develop solutions, and process control methodologies.  The students learn how to blend and sequence these tools to effectively solve critical operational, manufacturing, engineering, service and administrative problems. Equally important, the Black Belts learn project and change management skills required to assure solutions will be accepted and resources made available for successful implementation.

The course is delivered in four, one-week sessions, separated by 4-6 weeks of real world project application.  Our consultants work with the students between the sessions to help them successfully apply what they learned to their projects.
